ABOUT

Fresh 5 Crew is an apparel company that has a heart for the Great Lakes Region. F5C promotes responsible enjoyment of the Great Lakes and it’s tributaries and donate 20% of profits directly to organizations that share the same mission by educating people and protecting and advocating for a clean, sustainable Great Lakes ecosystem.

F5C needed all facets of branding, marketing, and apparel design. The team wanted designs that would appeal to a more contemporary consumer and marketing targeting those with ties to the Great Lakes and those who prioritize purchases that elicit change.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
& WEBSITE CREATION

ASH’s primary task when hired in 2019 was to create logos and apparel designs for future products. Fresh 5 Crew received primary and secondary logo designs along with a branding guide to kick things off, and then ASH continued to develop other logos and designs for apparel specifically.

Once there was a good variety of designs, ASH developed the F5C website on Squarespace, a store on Etsy, and also Facebook and Instagram accounts to promote products. Once products had been added to the website and Etsy page, ASH worked to merge the products to the social accounts as another way for buyers to access them.

 

SOCIAL MEDIA
MARKETING & ADVERTISING

ASH created F5C’s social media channels and was also tasked with maintaining them. The mission was to reach consumers in an attractive, fun, and educational way by using engaging multimedia content to increase awareness and initiate sales. ASH used a mix of photography, videography, and graphic design to achieve this goal, and implemented Facebook ads using the capture content. ASH also worked with F5C on sponsoring the 10th Annual Sprint & Splash at Lake St. Claire in Michigan, for which ASH put together branded Fresh 5 Crew swag bags for the race.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY
& VIDEOGRAPHY

ASH traveled to the Great Lakes on a few occasions to capture content for Fresh 5 Crew’s website and social channels. Utilizing iPhones, DSLR cameras, and a drone, ASH was able to capture a variety of imagery showcasing areas that F5C wanted to target sales to.
